Palisade fencing comprises a substantial fence formed from vertical “pales”, which provides a physical and visible deterrent against intruders. Incredibly robust and fitted with pointed or splayed tops, palisade fences are notoriously difficult to climb over. This makes them almost impossible to penetrate, and ideal where there is a need for high levels of security. At Ilkeston Fencing Ltd, we have been offering a specialist palisade fencing installation service for almost 30 years. Palisade fencing is easy to erect and repair, and can be tailored to meet the requirements of specific commercial clients. Some of our most requested options include:
- Hot dipped galvanised only
- Galvanised and polyester powder-coated (available in virtually any colour)
- Posts in different lengths to accommodate panel heights and ground conditions
- Wall fixing plates, cranked posts or base plated posts
- Cranked or straight extensions for barbed or razor wire
Palisade fence specifications
The pales are available in two different section profiles and a range of styles, as set out below:
Pale thickness specification:
Profile | General | Industrial | Security |
W section | 2mm | 2.5mm | 3mm |
D section | 3mm | 3.5mm | 4mm |
Heights range from 1m to 3.6m; however, non-standard heights and alternative pale thicknesses are also available.
Rails
Rails are available in four sizes: 40 x 40, 45 x 45, 50 x 50 and 65 x 50. The size of the rail depends on the level of security required and the height of the fence.
Gates
To complement the palisade fencing, a range of both single and double-leaf gates are available. These can be made to fit customers’ specific requirements. All gates can be colour-coated to coordinate or contrast with the fencing.
